A downloadable game for Windows

A farmer bought a mysterious new fertilizer from the market, believing it would help his crops grow faster. Instead, it corrupted the land and the plants. The farmer - dead.

The fertilizer brings a scarecrow to life. You play as this living scarecrow, now responsible for managing the corrupted farm and restoring balance to the land. The entire environment is tainted. Crops can grow normally, become corrupted, or evolve into dangerous monsters.

Your goal is to grow and manage your farm while preventing ordinary crops from becoming destructive vegetable monsters and using special corrupted plants to help cleanse the land.

Cute game! I really enjoy the visuals and the cartoon panels in the beginning helped me understand the general gist of the story. The sound effects were also fittingly silly and offered good feedback response whenever I tried to perform an action.

Without reading  the description of this game, I imagine it may be a little confusing as to know what to do at first. I know for myself, I was a little confused about what my goal was,  until I paused the game and read the controls.

It also took me a little of bit of time to realize that I could plant on the damaged parts of the soil. I realized that it was possible when I kept planting and harvesting plants, and the health of the farm did not go up.

I think it may be helpful to have onscreen prompts above each plot of land. For example, when you are using a seed packet, it would be visually helpful if it said something like (but not precisely) "Press E to Plant". Or, if something is ready to be harvested and you're hovering over it, "Hold Q to Harvest".

As for purchasing the seeds, it was initially a little unclear that I had to click on the Blue Button to buy a seed. I thought clicking on the Illustration would suffice, but then I realized that my money wasn't decreasing. Additionally, I think it would be helpful if Red Text could appear when you are spending you are spending money, similar to the type of visual feedback you receive when you purchase something from the Sims.

Also, although I saw that there was a watering can, I never actually watered my crops (and that specific piece of UI remained on the screen when I completed the game). Is there an actual need for the water (asides for realism)? I also completed the game without healing every plot of land. Is this intentional? It was unexpected, but I didn't mind.

Lastly, I often had to open my inventory to check how many seeds I had left. It's not really an issue, though I think it would be nice if you could see the amount you have left even when your inventory is closed.
